Faith Formation begins with the proclamation of the Gospel: God reveals His eternal love through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus gave His life to save us from sin and death. He remains with us now and always.
At Saint Leo the Great, we are committed to providing each member of our Parish with opportunities to experience a deeply intimate and personal relationship with Jesus. This relationship has a powerful and challenging name: Discipleship.
A disciple does not simply acquire facts and information from a teacher. A disciple follows a Master. A disciple changes his/her life to reflect the ideals and mission of the Master. The One we follow is Jesus, our Teacher, Shepherd, Healer and Servant.
The journey of discipleship lasts a lifetime. It doesn’t end in Eighth or even Twelfth Grade. Saint Leo the Great Office of Parish Faith Formation offers ways for Parishioners of all ages to encounter Jesus through prayer, study, liturgy and community. We encourage you to invite Jesus to draw close, to journey with Him, and to know His loving Presence in your daily life.
We pray and work so all Parishioners of Saint Leo the Great may become more committed and intentional disciples of Jesus Christ, united in fulfilling His command to “go into all the world and share the Good News” of salvation.
